CREW MEMBER (STREETS)
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $11.39/hr.

The City of Mesquite is seeking a Crew Member in Streets to perform a wide variety of general maintenance activities and functions including installing, maintaining and repairing concrete and asphalt. The Crew Member in Streets will provide support to the public and assigned City departments and divisions. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires six (6) months of experience in general labor. Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Must possess a valid Class A Texas driver's license or obtain a Class A Commercial license within 90 days of employment. Failure to obtain Class A driver’s license within 90 days of employment will result in non-disciplinary termination. Failure to obtain appropriate certification will result in non-disciplinary termination. Must be available to work 40 hours per week M-F 7:00am-3:30pm.
CREW MEMBER –TRAFFIC & STREET LIGHTING
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $11.39/hr.
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
The City of Mesquite is seeking a Crew Member in the Traffic and Street Lighting division to perform a wide variety of general maintenance activities and functions including installing, maintaining and repairing signs, markings and signals. This position will also provide support to the public and assigned city departments and divisions. Requires six (6) months experience in general labor operating motorized equipment similar to that used in traffic operations (signals, signs and markings) which includes working in heavy traffic conditions. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must posses a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver's license (the city will assist with obtaining a CDL) within ninety (90) days of employment as a condition of continued employment. Must be available to work 40 hours per week M-F, 7:00am- 4:30pm.
