LIFEGUARD
Starting Salary: $8.67/hr. - Depending on qualifications
Closing Date: Open Until Filled

Mesquite Parks and Recreation is seeking Lifeguards to staff City pools this summer. This position will observe all patrons of Mesquite swimming pools and ensure their safety while using the pool. This position will also administer CPR and First Aid as needed and will perform cleaning or maintenance work on the pool and in the pool area.

  • Requires formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

  • No experience required.

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age at time of hire.

  • Must possess current certifications from the American Red Cross or another agency of equivalent standing by hire date.

    • Lifeguard Training Certification
    • CPR for Professional Rescue
    • First Aid Certification
    • AED Certification

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule Sun-Sat within the hours of 6am-10pm in extreme weather.
