Mesquite Symphony Orchestra Membership Gala & Concert featuring Octavio Gutierrez, Piano; the Brookhaven Choral Society, Melody Gamblin-Bullock director and the Lovers Lane UMC Sanctuary Choir, Jimmy Emery director in a performance of Beethoven’s enchanting Choral Fantasie, Op. 80. In addition, the MSO will perform Christopher Tucker’s Cement 13, which was written for the MSO. The concert will also include William Grant Still’s innovative and joyous Symphony No. 1, The Afro-American. September’s concert is entitled Premiere. Octavio Gutirrez and Melody Gamblin-Bullock are members of the Brookhaven College School of the Arts faculty in Dallas. Performance begins at 7:30p. Tickets are $12 Adult, $8 Seniors & $6 Students.
