Building Inspection Division

Building Inspection is a division of the Community Development Department of the City of Mesquite, which performs ordinance enforcement in the areas of both residential and commercial construction. Both new and remodel work is inspected to make sure compliance to all adopted codes is met. Construction permits are required, plans reviewed and permits issued by the division. Building Inspection is responsible for the inspection of buildings and structures during construction to ensure compliance with approved plans and all governing building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy and state codes. Building Inspection also makes routine inspections of multi-family apartments, single-family rental units and hotel/motel for code compliance
